Laparoscopic Burch Bladder SuspensionProcedure Description:
Suspension of the bladder to stop urine leakage.
What To Expect:
In most cases this can be done as an outpatient procedure. The bladder is suspended using small (1/2 inch) incisions in the lower abdomen.
Preprocedure:
Preoperative laboratory and anesthesia visit.
Arrival the morning of surgery
Postprocedure:
Have someone available to take you home that afternoon.
You should be feeling pretty well back to normal in 5-7 days however you need to give you bladder 4-6 weeks to heal completely.
